Zachary Karabashliev to present his latest novel "A Wound" in Vienna

Tonight at 6.30pm, acclaimed Bulgarian writer Zachary Karabashliev will present his latest novel "A Wound" at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute "Haus Wittgenstein" in the Austrian capital, Vienna. The novel is largely based on war documents, soldiers' diaries, memoirs and personal correspondence relating to the First World War, the two Balkan Wars, the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising and the revolutionary movements in Thrace and Macedonia.

Zahary Karabashliev has received numerous awards, including the Hristo G. Danov National Award for Bulgarian Literature.
