Over 200 exhibitors from 3 continents at "Vacation and SPA" in Sofia

The largest annual tourism forum in Bulgaria will take place from March 13 to 15 at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia. The 40th edition of "Vacation & SPA" will bring together over 200 exhibitors from three continents - Europe, Asia and Africa. The participants are from different segments of tourism - industry organizations, tour operators, hotel managers, SPA and wellness centers, manufacturers and suppliers of hotel, spa and fitness equipment, etc. ‎

This year, destinations such as Madagascar, Great Britain, Turkey, China, Greece, Serbia, India, Mongolia, Mauritius, Maldives, Dubai and Finland will present their stands. An official delegation led by the Minister of Tourism of Madagascar is arriving for the exhibition in Sofia, who will meet his Bulgarian counterpart. ‎


Special attention of the forum is given to the Bulgarian municipalities. They will promote the conditions for recreation, as well as their latest proposals for alternative tourism in Bulgaria. There will be performances by folklore groups, tastings of traditional foods from different regions, reenactments of customs, wine treats, demonstrations of old crafts. ‎


This year, the access of visitors to "Vacation & SPA" is with tickets.‎

The business program of the forum is full of meetings and seminars. The focus of the discussions will be on sustainable tourism, the latest digital and marketing trends, as well as the inevitable green and digital transition in the sector.

An expected event is the ceremony for the national awards "Brand of Bulgaria 2023". On March 14, awards will be presented to companies that have created a sustainable brand and contributed to the overall development of the business environment in Bulgaria. ‎

In general, the industry is positive about the upcoming active summer tourist season. According to Eurostat data for the whole of 2023 tourist overnight stays by Bulgarians and foreigners in Bulgaria have increased by 11.9%, reaching over 27 million. This is a significant increase compared to the average for the EU of 6.3%", notes the Ministry of Tourism, with whose support "Vacation & SPA" is held.‎
