A summer language camp for children with Bulgarian roots living abroad is being organised by the "Usmivki" Educational Centre in cooperation with the Targovishte Municipality. This was reported by BTA, quoting Bulgarian language and literature teacher Svetlana Hrabrova.

"The idea is to give children an experience of life in Bulgaria," she said. The name of the camp in Targovishte will be "My Bulgaria". It will take place in two shifts between July 22 and 28 and August 5 and 11. Registration is open until May 10. The camp is for children between the ages of 9 and 15.

There will be hikes in the Preslav Mountains, campfires, a Bulgarian disco and cinema night, a day trip to the Madara Horseman, an early medieval rock relief, and the Preslav fortress. Archaeologists will unveil the secrets of the ancient city of Missionis, and the children will have the chance to immerse themselves in the magic of Bulgarian folklore.
