More than 1 million travelers are expected in Bulgaria on Easter, Rumen Draganov, director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, told BTA.
In years when Easter is in early May, a lot of intense traveling is usually reported. This will also give a strong boost to the summer season at the Black Sea coast. Most of the trips in the beginning of May, are expected to be made by Bulgarians. For Easter, the visits of foreigners to Bulgaria will exceed 80,000. For the entire month of May, the expectations are that the visits of foreigners will be over 800,000, while the vacations of Bulgarians in the country will be about 1.5 million.
Most of the guests are expected to come from the neighboring countries – Romania, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, North Macedonia. The prices of overnight stays range from 30 to 125 euros per person.
