Five Bulgarian citizens have been charged in the UK with welfare fraud, reports BNT. The accused are said to have orchestrated a scheme that resulted in a £50 million loss to the UK budget. Tsvetka Todorova, Stoyan Stoyanov, Patrizia Paneva, Galina Nikolova and Gunesh Ali are accused of forging thousands of fake documents with stolen identities and medical certificates to drain the British welfare system. Wads of cash stuffed into shopping bags and suitcases, as well as various luxury items, were found during the police raid.
