Bulgaria grants 60 000 euro aid to Ukraine, Parliament decides

The National Assembly has approved Bulgaria's financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 60 000 euro. Bulgaria will thus participate in a four-year programme of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) for Ukraine, reports BNR parliamentary reporter Maria Fileva.

The amount will be provided from the funds for official development assistance and humanitarian aid under the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2023. The opposition objected to the provision of the aid, saying that it would be better to allocate the funds to the Bulgarian diaspora in the western suburbs.
