The Bulgarian Socialist Party will send the parliamentary report on the gas contract with the Turkish state-owned energy company Botas to the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Bulgarian and the European prosecutor's office, party leader Kornelia Ninova said. "GERB is trying to cover up corruption in the contract with Botas by not allowing the commission's report, which has serious findings of damage to the Bulgarian state, on the plenary agenda," she reasoned.
According to the contract, signed by the caretaker cabinet of Galab Donev, the state-owned company Bulgargaz agreed to give Botas access to Bulgarian pipelines.
Earlier today, the Vazrazhdane party submitted a signal to the prosecutor's office, the State Agency for National Security and other state institutions regarding the "scandalous deal between Bulgargaz and Botas", MP Yordan Todorov said. He also said that the party would provide them with the report of the ad hoc parliamentary committee, which was to establish the facts of the deal.
