The Dairy Union of Ukraine plans to double the export of raw materials on the Bulgarian market. This was made clear during the first meeting of the organization with the Bulgarian Association of Dairy Processors in Veliko Turnovo, BNR’s correspondent Zdravka Maslyankova reports. An online meeting between the newly appointed Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture Georgi Tahov and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Solsky is scheduled for May. “In 2023, we have delivered 2,500 tons of powdered milk from Ukraine to Bulgaria, but we can deliver 5,000 tons. If Bulgaria needs it, we can deliver other kinds of production as well,” Arsen Didur from the Dairy Union of Ukraine said for the BNR. “There is a 30% shortage of high-quality raw milk, of the raw material that is no longer produced by Bulgarian stockbreeders,” said on his part Plamen Angelov from the Bulgarian Association of Dairy Processors.
