We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) submitted a request to Parliament for the resignation of National Assembly Speaker Rosen Zhelyazkov. The document was also signed by MPs from the parliamentary group of BSP for Bulgaria.

‘’We are showing a red card to GERB for their work over the past three months", We Continue the Change Co-chairman Kiril Petkov told journalists.

According to PP-DB, Rosen Zhelyazkov abuses power and authority and works in the interest of the political bloc GERB-DPS. The coalition also points to specific motives, among them "violation of the procedure for early termination of the term of office of the head of the National Health Insurance Fund, Stanimir Mihaylov."

Kiril Petkov clarified that Vazrazhdane party also wants the resignation of the National Assembly speaker. In his words, the request for the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov will be discussed today in the plenary hall.
