The transition from Russian nuclear fuel from "TVEL" to the American fuel from "Westinghouse" will start in May with the loading of 43 cartridges in the reactor core of the fifth unit of the Kozloduy NPP. The executive director of Kozloduy NPP, Valentin Nikolov, recalled that the process of preparation for switching to Westinghouse fuel began in 2019 with the signing of a contract with the company.
