Exhibition "Mount Athos in drawings and photographs" to open in Rome on the occasion of May 24

The exhibition "Mount Athos in drawings and photographs" will be opened on May 22 at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. 

The event, which will be held under the patronage of President Rumen Radev, is part of the program of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church Municipality "Sveti Sedmochiselnitsi" in the Italian capital for the celebrations of May 24 - the Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature.

On the following day, the Holy Divine Liturgy of the Bishop will be celebrated and there will be a pilgrimage before the relics and a prayer at the grave of Saint Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher. The service in the ancient basilica San Clemente will be led by Western and Central European Metropolitan Anthony.

The day of the holiday will be celebrated with a thanksgiving prayer in the chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius and Saint Benedict of Nursia in the crypt of the popes in Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
