Green corridor for trucks with perishable goods at BCP Vidin-Calafat

To ease heavy goods traffic through Danube Bridge 2, a "green corridor" has been established in collaboration with Romanian authorities for trucks carrying perishables, live animals, and dangerous goods. The number of border control officers on both sides has been increased. At Bulgaria's request, the number of Romanian tax officials (ANAF) has also been increased, according to the Interior Ministry.

Currently, there are no trucks waiting on the route to Vidin-Calafat BCP. All counters at the border crossing are fully operational. A new traffic organisation has been put in place to avoid rest stops on the section between the bridge and the checkpoint on Romanian territory, thus preventing traffic jams. These measures are permanent and efforts are ongoing to improve them.
