Weather forecast: Sunny and hot Sunday, temperatures hit 39° C.

During the night the weather will be predominantly clear over most of the country.

On Sunday, 23 June, the weather will be predominantly sunny and hot with a temporary increase of clouds in the afternoon over the mountain regions of Western Bulgaria where there may be isolated showers and thunder. Maximum temperatures 34-39°C., a little lower in the Eastern part of the country, for Sofia around 34° C.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny with a temporary increase of clouds in the afternoon, and occasional rain and thunder over isolated areas in the mountainous regions of Western Bulgaria. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 28°C., at 2,000 m. 21° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny, with maximum temperatures reaching 26-28°C. Temperature of the sea water 24-25°C., sea state 2-3.
