The Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) is starting "unlimited" financing for the country's defense industry. According to caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Rosen Karadimov, the military-industrial complex is a strategic sector for Bulgaria, and it would be national nihilism not to serve it at a time when it is an engine of economic growth. A strategy adopted by the Council of Ministers tasks BDB with providing comprehensive banking service to the military-industrial complex without restriction, without limits, treating both state and private enterprises equally, but only manufacturers, not traders.
Minister Karadimov pointed out that access to the NATO Innovation Fund will be accelerated. Terem CEO Kalin Dimitrov stated that the complex is working on a number of projects, including with Ukrainian partners, as well as on the development of unmanned aerial vehicles.
