Dragon Boat Festival to take place at Lake Pancharevo near Sofia

On 29 and 30 June the lake in Pancharevo near Sofia will be hosting the Dragon Boat Festival. During the two days dragon boat races will be held on the rowing base, which everyone can watch. The festival with free entrance will be held in two main parts - racing and multicultural program with music, dance, creative workshops, martial arts demonstrations, attractions for children, culinary exhibitions, etc.

Dragon boat festivals have a history of more than 2,000 years. They began in China and Far Eastern countries, but today they are popular all over the world. 


Bulgaria is set to host the 2025 World Dragon Boat Championships, which will be held in Ruse.
