The Toronto Raptors have officially announced the signing of Bulgarian basketball star Alexandar - Sasha - Vezenkov. The 2023 Euroleague Most Valuable Player (MVP) has left the Sacramento Kings to join the only Canadian team in the National Basketball Association. The Kings traded Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell and Jamal Shead in exchange for Jalen McDaniels.

Of the Raptors' new signings, only Vezenkov was not given a number, fueling speculation that he could return to Europe.

Sasha Vezenkov, 28, joined the Sacramento Kings in the NBA after the 2022-23 season. The Bulgarian forward averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game last season.
