The largest archaeological campaign ever conducted on Perperikon has begun, BTA reports. Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov, head of the research at the site for nearly 25 years, says that the campaign is held under the title "Will Roman statues be found in the Sacred Rock City of the Thracians?".
During the current tourist season, visitors to Perperikon will also be able to see the results of two European projects, thanks to which bilingual information boards tell about everything discovered so far.
