Toplofest 2024: “High in the sky” with kites, music and lots of fun

The space for art, culture and dialogue Toplocentrala in Sofia is getting ready for the grand opening of its 5th season with the 5th edition of the emblematic festival Toplofest

Under the motto “High in the sky” colourful kites will be flown over Toplocentrala contemporary art centre on Saturday, 13 July, to mark the start of the festival – July 13-15.  


Visitors to the festival over the weekend will be able to choose among different workshops, yoga, bazaars, music, telescope observation, theatre and experimental art. French circus artist Jabber will have a show and will hold a workshop. For contemporary art lovers there will be a performance by Zvuk (Sound) 6, a French-Bulgarian music, light and visual collaboration.

Last season (January-July), Toplocentrala hosted dozens of different events. The biggest one among them took place in June when the culture centre played host to an international meeting the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts, the biggest performing arts network, with more than 400 participants from all over the world.
