Seven fires are burning in forest areas in the districts of Plovdiv, Haskovo, Kyustendil and Yambol, the Executive Forests Agency said.

In Hisarya Municipality, volunteers are being recruited to combat the fire in the villages of Mihiltsi and Ivan Vazovo. Although the situation is very dynamic, there is hope that the fire will be completely extinguished today, said Chief Commissioner Vasil Dimov, director of the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection.

A partial state of emergency has been declared in the municipality of Svilengrad. Last night, a new fire broke out and flames are spreading over a wide front in the area of Ravna Gora, Levka and Dervishka Mogila. The fire is sweeping everything in its path. Several uninhabited houses have burned down, but no people have been reported injured.

A total of 204 fires have been extinguished over the past 24 hours, said the Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate General.
