A delegation of representatives of two Chinese media (Shanxi Province Radio and Television Station and Jilin Province Radio and Television Station) visited the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) in the capital Sofia. They are travelling from China to Western Europe by car along the Silk Road.

The initiative aims to introduce Chinese culture and traditions abroad, showcase and inform Chinese audiences about the countries and cities they visit, and promote tourism and exchanges to their provinces, which feature beautiful scenery and temperate climates.

The Chinese media are interested in opportunities to create collaborative links with other media and partners in the region.

Opportunities for cooperation with the BNR are yet to be specified, but topics of interest to Chinese media include culture, tourism, bilateral relations, as well as the digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence in the media realm.
