Ludogorets lost the return away match, by 0-1, versus Dinamo Batumi, Georgia, but did qualify for the Champions’ League’s second qualifying round with a score of 3-2.

The Bulgarian team won the first match a week ago in their home town of Razgrad by 3-1 and were considered the favourite for the return match but, expectedly, encountered stiff resistance from the Georgian champion. Dinamo Batumi started out by scoring in the 3rd minute, another of their goals was cancelled. Ludogorets’ goalkeeper Sergio Padt had several saves, but in the last seconds of the match disappointed fans started started throwing things at him. In the second round, Ludogorets will be playing against the champion of Belarus Dinamo Minsk which eliminated Armenia’s Pyunic.
