Radina Velichkova, Bulgaria won the gold medal in the 100 metres sprint at the European Athletics U18 Championships in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. 16-year old Velichkova clocked 11.46 seconds, setting a national record for girls for Bulgaria, and earning the first title for the country at a European under 18 championship.
