Triumph, the latest film from acclaimed Bulgarian filmmaking duo Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, has been selected for the prestigious Platform competition at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This will be the world premiere of the film. Toronto - TIFF announced the Platform lineup, which includes 10 films from 17 countries.

The cast of Triumph includes Academy Award nominee Maria Bakalova and British television actor Julian Kostov, who are also co-producers. The film also stars Julian Vergov, Margita Gosheva, Ivan Savov and others.

"The film is interesting because it's a social satire inspired by real life, which makes it all the more absurd," explains Maria Bakalova. The plot is inspired by the true story of how, in 1990, elite army officers were sent to dig a hole in the village of Tsarichino in search of paranormal messages.
