More than 500 delegates from 150 countries have arrived in Bulgaria for the 61st session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The plenary session of the most influential international scientific organisation in the field of climate change will be held in Sofia from July 26 to August 2, the press centre of the Ministry of Environment and Water said.

The ministry is also coordinating an initiative involving satellite technology - a series of events aimed at drawing the attention of scientists, municipalities and businesses, as well as the public, to climate issues in Bulgaria and the Black Sea region.
