Bulgarians value democracy, human rights, the rule of law and the standard of living in the EU, according to Eurobarometer data presented on July 26 by the European Commission, BTA reports.
When asked what are the strengths of the EU, 38% of Bulgarians indicated the standard of living. 35% point out respect for democracy, human rights and law. One out of three points to the EU's economic strength and good relations between Member States. 38% of EU citizens put the rule of law, democracy and human rights first. The last place is occupied by the standard of living and the protection of nature.
