Paris 2024 Olympics: Bulgaria will have representatives in six sports on Monday

Bulgaria’s best fencer Yoana Ilieva will compete for top positions in the sabre event at the Paris Olympics on Monday, July 29. Judoka Marki Hristov will face Alexander Husein in a first-round match of the 73 kg category.

Boxer Radoslav Rosenov will play his second match in the 63.5 kilogram category. He will face the top-seeded Wyatt Sanford from Canada.

Shooters Antoaneta Kostadinova and Kiril Kirov will participate in 10-meter air pistol mixed team.

Gabriela Georgieva will swim in the third heat of the 100-meter backstroke qualifiers in the Olympic swimming tournament.

Victoriya Tomova will play her second match in the tennis tournament. Bulgaria’s best female tennis player defeated Magdalena Fręch (Poland) in her first match on Sunday. On Monday, she will play against the 11th seed Emma Navarro (USA).

 Valentina Georgieva is Bulgaria's first finalist at the Paris Olympics. On her 18th birthday on July 28, Georgieva qualified for the artistic gymnastics women's vault final.
