Bulgaria is among the EU countries with the highest number of people with higher education employed on permanent contracts. According to the EUROGRADUATE 2022 survey conducted in 17 countries, the unemployment rate among bachelor's or master's degree graduates is less than 5%. 3,606 Bulgarian bachelor's and master's degree holders were surveyed online. They are generally satisfied with their education. Their average satisfaction level is 3.8 on a scale from 1 to 5, which is considered high. The result matches the average for the countries surveyed, the Ministry of Education said.

The share of Bulgarian graduates who have had international training is close to the average for other European countries - about 20%. 27,8% of Bulgarians have completed higher education. Some graduates are not working due to factors unrelated to the labour market, such as maternity leave, etc.
