Agricultural land in Bulgaria has more than doubled in price, or by 108.7%, for the past 7 years, according to data of the National Statistical Institute. In 2016, the average price per decare of land was 386 EUR and last year it was 803 EUR.
Fields in the south-western region of the country marked the biggest price rise - more than 202% for 7 years.
