Students from three Bulgarian schools in Italy put together an atlas of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the first of its kind. The project was carried out under the Untold Stories about Bulgarians national programme of the Ministry of Education, the ministry press centre has announced.
The book was inspired by paintings by artist Dora Nikolova Bitau, fashioned after the style of the painted icons dedicated to Cyril and Methodius. Students from the three Bulgarian schools – in Naples, in Rome and in Salerno – joined efforts to write the texts for the book, under the guidance of their teachers. The atlas has been released by the ministry’s Az-Buki national publishing house for education and science.
