Weather forecast for 20 August

Yellow code for dangerous precipitation issued in 13 districts of the country

Showers and thunderstorms will hit most of Western Bulgaria before noon on Tuesday. In the afternoon, the stormy weather will reach Central Bulgaria. There is a risk of hail and strong winds. A yellow code for dangerous precipitation has been issued for 13 districts in the country. In the east it will be sunny. 

Minimum temperatures will be between 17 and 21°C, 18°C in Sofia. Maximum temperatures will be between 28 and 36°C, 28°C in the capital. 

Along the Black Sea coast it will be sunny with easterly winds. Air temperatures will reach 28-31°C. The water temperature will be 28°C. The sea swell will be 2. 

Over the mountains there will be clouds and rain with thunderstorms, but over the eastern masses there will be almost no precipitation. Maximum temperatures will reach 24°C at 1,200 m and 16°C at 2,000 m.

On Wednesday it will be cloudy and rainy in western and central Bulgaria. Eastern Bulgaria will be sunny.
