After Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva's proposed cabinet was rejected by the president, Dimitar Glavchev - the current caretaker prime minister - expressed his willingness to remain in the post for the time needed.

"I will carry out my duties as caretaker prime minister as long as it is necessary to prevent the country from falling into a constitutional crisis. It is my duty to see the country through this unprecedented crisis, given the situation that has been created and if this would prevent a further institutional blockade of the country.

I declare that I am ready to participate in the constitutional procedure for the appointment of a caretaker prime minister," Glavchev said in a message on the Council of Ministers' Facebook page.
