28.4% increase in number of new cars in 2024 in Bulgaria

During the first 7 months of the year,26,945 new cars were purchased in Bulgaria which is 28.4% more than during the same period of 2023, show data of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

According to this indicator, Bulgaria tops the list of EU countries, followed by Poland with a 16.4% increase, and Malta with 14%, Forbes-Bulgaria reports. During this period, the highest number of registrations was of petrol cars – 20,780 newly registered vehicles, followed by diesel cars – 4,310, electric cars – 1,022, hybrid cars – 545 and plug-in hybrid – 288.
