Representatives of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and supporters who have been standing guard in front of the “serai”,as the properties where the honorary chairman of the Movement for Rights and Freedom (MRF) Ahmed Dogan lives are known - in Sofia’s Boyana suburb and in Rosenets park on the Black Sea - stated what was happening was a case of gross arbitrariness. Ahmed Dogan is being forced to leave the property in Boyana and in Rosenets park after former transport minister and until recently business associate of Ahmed Dogan Danail Papazov informed the media that he was the rightful owner of the properties, and demanded that Dogan vacate them immediately.
“We were told by the people working there, that a group of about 10 people came with a document and forced them to leave the building. That is an act of arbitrariness,” said MRF MP Timur Halilov. Talking to public service TV BNT, Halilov stated he had no information what was going on inside and whether any documents or property belonging to Ahmed Dogan had been taken out. Halilov stated further that Dogan had not been warned to vacate the premises and that it was not as yet known who the people are who have entered the property and who sent them there. According to unofficial information they are from a private security company sent there specifically for this purpose. Timur Halilov said the people in front of the residence were determined to stay there “to the last”.
“We are here to support Ahmed Dogan, the MRF and the cause of the MRF,” Movement for Rights and Freedoms co-chairman Dzhevdet Chakarov said, and added that he expected more supporters to come to the residences in Sofia and in Rosenets, BTA reports.
