Grigor Dimitrov has qualified for the round of 16 of the Open Tennis Championship of the United States, defeating with a decisive result 6:3, 6:3, 6:1 Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands. The Bulgarian left no chance for his opponent to make a comeback.

In his next match, Grigor Dimitrov will play Russian Andrey Rublev, who defeated Jiri Lehechka from the Czech Republic again in three sets. The two met seven times and three of the victories were for the Bulgarian tennis player.

Dimitrov reaches this stage of the tournament for the fourth time in his career, but now without losing a set.

The surprise at the US Open came from Australian Alexey Popirin, who eliminated Novak Djokovic. So if Grigor Dimitrov reaches the quarterfinals, he will not face the winner of 24 Grand Slam titles
