Today, the Bulgarian military contingent will have a sent-off before it joins the NATO-led peacekeeping force in Kosovo (KFOR) as part of the Regional Command-West. The ceremony will take place in Asenovgrad with the participation of Bulgaria's Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov.
The contingent includes servicemen from the Bulgarian Land Forces and from the Joint Forces Command's Mobile Communication and Information System. They will perform tasks related to supporting security in the area, patrolling and monitoring in the erea of responsibility.
