Folklore groups, cooks and artisans from Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece to take part in the "Balkantea" festival in Sozopol

More than 10 folklore groups, cooks and artisans from Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece will gather at the "Balkantea" festival in Sozopol from 16 to 18 September.  The event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Sozopol, Tihomir Yanakiev, at the Apollonia Summer Theatre in the town this evening at 19:30. 

On the second day, at 11.00 am, a bazaar of Balkan arts and crafts will open on Koulata Square in the old town. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover handmade artistic items made from natural materials, as well as souvenirs, jewellery, cosmetics and culinary specialities.

The musical programme, which starts every evening at 19:30, includes a bagpipe ensemble from the village of Ravadinovo, a group of kukeri (traditional masked dancers) from the village of Rosen, a mandolin ensemble from the municipality of Soufli in Greece, the cultural and artistic association "Andjeli" from Serbia, and many others.
