Violinist of world renown Stoyka Milanova has passed away

Bulgarian violinist of world renown Stoyka Milanova passed away on 29 September, 2024 in Madrid, her family posted on Facebook.  

Stoyka Milanova was born on 5 September, 1945. She started playing the violin at the age of 4, to begin with, with her father, famed violin pedagogue Prof. Trendafil Milanov, and throughout her life she followed and popularized his teaching methods. In 1964 she continued her education in Moscow, with David Oistrakh, and worked under him in the course of 5 years, winning numerous prestigious awards. She has performed on many stages of Europe and the world as soloist with numerous orchestras. She has performed together with her sister Dora Milanova and with many other famous musicians.
