Vratsa to build Centre for Energy Development and New Sciences

A Centre for Energy Development and New Sciences will be established in Vratsa. A memorandum to this effect was signed between the Vratsa Municipality, the Ministry of Education and Science, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Technical University - Sofia, Bulgarian Energy Holding, the Electricity System Operator, Kozloduy NPP, the State Enterprise "Radioactive Waste", the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies and others. 


The parties pledged to build scientific infrastructure in line with global best practices and to promote the development of applied science and innovation in energy and information technology in order to stimulate economic growth and create attractive jobs "in view of the projects for the construction of new units (7 and 8) at Kozloduy NPP", as noted by Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov.
