A meeting of the joint commission on historical issues between Bulgaria and North Macedonia was held in Skopje. Due to the renewed composition of the Macedonian side, the "principles of work, protocol and procedural-technical issues" were mainly discussed in the commission, reports BTA.

The meeting took place in a collegial tone, "but there will be no changes in the previous way of working", stated the Bulgarian co-chairman Prof. Angel Dimitrov. "We moved on to the old topic that has engaged us for 2 years - the Ohrid archdiocese, but there the talks ended too quickly without any progress. The work on an almost completed protocol from the last meetings was not finished," Angelov stressed.

The next meeting of the commission working within the framework of the agreement on good neighborliness and friendship will be held in Sofia on December 12 and 13.
