A screening of the film "MPO - 100 Years Struggle for Freedom" will be held on November 9 at the Bulgarica Cultural Center in Chicago, USA, according to the Center's Facebook page. The film will be shown at 19:00 local time.

The film is about the Macedonian Patriotic Organisation, the oldest Bulgarian immigrant organisation in the US and Canada, founded by Bulgarians from the geographical area of Macedonia who sought a new home away from the persecution they faced in their homeland. It tells the story of the organisation and its members, who have preserved the memory of their ancestors and their rich cultural and historical heritage in North America.

They were the pioneers on American soil, 100 years before us, who built many churches and schools, the organisers said.
