Leading researchers and lecturers from the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia and the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be paying a visit to the Museum of Natural History in Cherni Osam for a “space weekend”.
Today and tomorrow the participants in the event will be able to hear different science lectures - about future space phenomena, the origin of the Solar system, the methods of measuring distances in outer space and the structure of the Universe. There will also be astronomical observations using professional equipment.
Weather permitting, there will be daytime observations of the sun, as well as night-time observations of Saturn, star clusters and faraway galaxies. Children will be able to attend creative workshops, organized in partnership with the Two Dwarves workshop of knowledge.
