Bulgaria and Romania dominate the outsourced business services sector in Southeast Europe

Bulgaria and Romania continue to dominate the outsourced business services sector in Southeast Europe, with Bucharest and Sofia hosting 43% of the region's suppliers. This is stated in a report on the outsourcing industry in Southeast Europe 2023. It was presented by Iliya Krastev, chairman of the Association for Innovations, Business Services and Technologies at the Forum for Innovations, Technologies and Outsourced Business Services for Southeast Europe SEE ITS Summit 2024 in Sofia. 

Romania leads with 7.9 billion euros in generated revenue last year, followed by Bulgaria with 5.4 billion euros, but Bulgaria is ahead of Romania in terms of generated profits.

The report covers 2,293 companies from 11 countries in Southeast Europe across all segments and sub-segments of the high-tech industry.
