NSI: GDP grew by 2.2% yoy in the third quarter

Bulgaria's economy grew by 2.2% year on year in the third quarter, according to the National Statistical Institute's (NSI) flash estimate. Final consumption expenditure grew by 4.6%, imports of goods and services by 1.9% and exports by 0.1%.

According to the NSI, the gross domestic product in the period July-September this year in nominal terms amounted to EUR 27.2 billion and the value added amounted to EUR 23.6 billion.

Total quarterly income per person in the household in the third quarter was EUR 1 713 and expenditure EUR 1 612. Income growth was 16.6% compared with the same period of a year before.
