An innovation for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer using the patient's own tissue and artificial intelligence has been implemented at the University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment-Burgas. Bulgaria is the fourth European country to start applying this technology. It is a revolutionary new approach for treating severe chronic wounds such as diabetic foot, burns, bedsores, etc.

It turns out that more than half of foot amputations in the country are due to diabetic foot ulcer. The new technology gives patients a chance to save their feet.
