Weather forecast: Temperatures continue to drop

Over the next 24 hours the weather will continue cloudy, with rain mostly in the Southwestern half of the country and sleet in high plains. The precipitation over Mounts Rila and the Rhodopes will be considerable. There will be a moderate, in Eastern Bulgaria and the Upper Thracian Plain temporarily strong wind from the East-Northeast. Minimum temperatures 2-7° C., maximum – 4-9° C., a little lower in the Easternmost parts. In Sofia the minimum and the maximum temperatures will remain at 3-4° C.

Over the mountains the weather will be cloudy and there will be snow, below 1,000 m. – rain and snow. There will be a strong, in the highest reaches tempestuous wind from the East-Southeast. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. 0°-1° C., at 2,000 m. around 3° C. below zero.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be cloudy with rain mostly over the Southern portion of the coastline. There will be a moderate to temporarily strong wind from the Northeast. Maximum temperatures 10-12° C., temperature of the sea water 12-13° C., sea state around 4.
