The indexation of pensions from July 1, 2025 should be between 8 and 9%, and from January 1, the maximum social security income should be increased to 4,130 BGN (2,065 euros), the caretaker government proposes with the draft budget of the State Social Security for 2025, BNR has learned.
The exact amount of the rise will be determined after receiving the figures for inflation and social security. No other changes are proposed in the spending policy and the amounts of all social benefits will be preserved. The revenue part states that the minimum salary from January 1 is 1,077 BGN (540 euros). The average pension in 2025 is expected to reach 489 euros. No increase in the retirement age and length of service is planned.
