The Bulgarian film "Tarika", directed by Milko Lazarov, won the Best Film award in the international competition category at the 30th Kolkata International Film Festival held in India. "Tarika" won the Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Award, accompanied by a prize of EUR 57,000, reported BTA. The film tells the story of a father's love for his daughter, Tarika, a girl with special abilities, which puts him at odds with the prejudiced residents of a border town, according to Hindustan Times.
