Bulgaria will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine, caretaker Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov said at a meeting with the Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Olesya Ilashchuk, the Ministry of Defence announced. Minister Zapryannov wished that the upcoming year would bring peace and territorial integrity to the Ukrainian people.
"Bulgaria stands firmly behind the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine", said Atanas Zapryanov. Ambassador Ilashchuk thanked Bulgaria for its assistance and for its principled and practical support for democracy. She emphasized that Bulgaria has always been an extremely important and close partner of Ukraine and expressed hope that the effective bilateral cooperation will continue.
