Where will Bulgarians welcome the New Year?

About 700 thousand Bulgarians have chosen to travel for the New Year. About 120-130 thousand of them have preferred to go abroad and nearly as many foreigners have chosen Bulgaria for the holidays.

The most preferred countries for Bulgarians to welcome the New Year in are those from the EU - 68% of those traveling abroad for the holidays. This was what Rumen Draganov - Director of the Institute for Analysis and Forecasting of the Information Environment in Tourism told BNR Radio Sofia. 

About 4,000 Bulgarians have preferred distant destinations. For them, Dubai traditionally occupies the top positions, followed by Egypt, Tunisia, The Maldives, Seychelles, Zanzibar and Vietnam.
