Bulgaria ranks 57th in global IQ ranking

Bulgarians rank 57th with an average IQ of 97.79, according to statistics from the International IQ Organization. The ranking is based on test results from 1.4 million people across 127 countries. All respondents performed the same tasks to assess their intellectual abilities. China, Iran and South Korea occupy the top three positions for average IQ levels. 

The average IQ for residents of China is 107.43, for Iran 106.63 and for South Korea 106.57. Japan (106.54), Singapore (105.25) and Russia (103.31) take the fourth, fifth and sixth positions, respectively. The global average IQ score in 2024 is set at 100. The United States ranks 27th, the Netherlands 32nd, the United Kingdom 33rd, Austria 34th and Germany 35th. The last six countries in the ranking are from Africa.
